Our History

The Democrats of Hemet - San Jacinto, as it is now known, began as the Hemacinto Women’s Club.  It is a chartered club of the Riverside County Democratic Party Central Committee. In 2008, the club began offering a scholarship to graduating high school seniors to further their education based on an essay competition. To date, the club has awarded more than $9,000 to deserving San Jacinto Valley students. DOHSJ meets once a month with guest speakers involved in the community.  Membership is open to any and all registered and prospective Democrats.
